Twenty-five years ago, the founder of Hudson Hot Shots Moving was already swinging a hammer and loading trucks. Two and a half decades of trades work later — homes built, decks framed, garages cleaned out, friends helped move on weekends — and the lesson was clear: most moving companies treat the work like a transaction. The good ones treat it like a craft.
We started Hudson Hot Shots because we wanted to do it the way our parents would have wanted it done — with respect for your stuff, respect for your time, and a written quote that doesn't change at the end of the day.
"Hot shot" is trade slang. In trucking and contracting, a hot-shot crew is the small, fast, flexible team that shows up when the big guys can't fit you in. Same-day. Last-minute. Whatever-it-takes. That's the work we built our name around.
Other companies will tell you they're booked out three weeks. We figure out how to make today work.
Our number-one rule. If we book a 9 AM arrival, we're there at 8:55. If something goes sideways and we'll be late, we call you — we don't make you call us.
Flat-rate written quotes whenever possible. You should know the price before the first box hits the truck. Surprises are for birthdays.
Every move gets blankets, shrink wrap, and a crew trained to wrap before they walk. Your grandmother's hutch is not "just a piece of furniture" to us.
For junk removal jobs, anything in good shape goes to a local Tampa Bay charity instead of a landfill. It costs us a little time and saves the world a little waste. Worth it.
Most movers won't haul off your old couch when they're done. Most junk haulers won't move your new one to your new place. We do both — usually on the same trip.
We're headquartered in Hudson, FL at 8619 Bolton Ave, and we run regular routes through Pasco, Pinellas, Hillsborough, Hernando, and Citrus counties. That covers Tampa, St. Petersburg, Clearwater, New Port Richey, Spring Hill, Wesley Chapel, Land O' Lakes, Brandon, Riverview, and most of West-Central Florida.

We hire crew members the way we'd hire a contractor for our own home — careful, polite, sober on the job, and proud of the work. Every Hot Shots crew member is trained, insured, and accountable to the owner directly. There's no layer of middle management between you and the people doing the lifting.
Hudson Hot Shots Moving is fully licensed and carries general liability and cargo insurance for every move. Certificates of insurance are available on request — handy for apartment buildings, condo associations, and commercial moves that require COIs on file.
